Eddie Wade, Baritone....

Welcome to Eddie Wade's website!

Baritone Eddie Wade was born in Yorkshire and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at the National Opera Studio, London, sponsored by The Royal Opera, Covent Garden. He currently studies with Robert Dean and lives in Wellington, Somerset, UK.

Eddie enjoys a full and varied operatic career and has worked with most of the major U.K. opera houses. His concert work has taken him throughout the U.K. and into Europe. His dark Dramatic Baritone is in demand both in opera, where his characterisations are highly acclaimed, and as a concert & oratorio singer, where he uses his many baritone colours to their full potential.

Eddie Wade will sing the role of the Foreman in Welsh National Opera's Autumn 2008 production of Jenufa with Nuccia Focile in the title role.

 

Eddie will sing the role of Count Almaviva in six performances of Le Nozze di Figaro for WNO in 2009 - March 31, April 3, 9, 11, 14 & 17.

 

Eddie will sing the role of the Baron Douphol (La Traviata) for The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in June and July, 2009 with René Fleming as Violetta and Thomas Hampson as Germont pere.

 

Autumn 2009 and 2010 details will follow very shortly.
